Billboard.com’s 2015 Girl Group Week has come to an end, and to mark the occasion, we wanted to reveal the results of our second annual Girl Group Week Readers’ Poll, which let pop fans vouch for their favorite girl group songs, albums, videos and more. With thousands of votes cast in the three days that the readers’ poll was open, it’s time to congratulate Little Mix, 2NE1and t.A.T.u. for coming out on top in some of the major categories!
After learning that a few of our favorite idols would be moving in together on new variety show Roommates, we asked you who you would want to bunk with, and the results are in!
Although EXO′s Chan Yeol took off with the lead when poll′s opened, 2NE1′s Park Bom took the win in the end with 52.3 percent of readers′ votes.
Chan Yeol slipped to second place with 41.3 percent of votes, while After School′s Nana finished in last place with 6.3 percent of votes.
Recently, a new Facebook page for K-Pop fans in Germany was created called, ‘K-Pop Statistic Germany’.
It was revealed that Epik High was chosen as the best Hip-Hop artist. Best boy group went to Big Bang and best girl group to 2NE1. For the male solo category, G-Dragon was chosen.
For all the categories, from hip-hop artist, female-male solo, group, etc, YG Entertainment artists were chosen for all sections. For the best female solo, CL was chosen along with Lee Hi at number 8 and 9. Singer Ailee was chosen as number 1.
In Korea, YG was also chosen as the country’s best entertainment company with SM Entertainment at a close number 2.
In 2012, YG artists took over the muss charts for one year and was successful with all their new releases. They also successfully completed their world tours and overseas activities as well.
Epik High, who released a new album after a 3 year hiatus along with Psy, 2NE1, Big Bang, Se7en and others, all released new albums that all ranked number 1.
In the case of Big Bang and G-Dragon, their solo and drop title songs were all seen taking over the charts.
YG stated that after the comeback of Psy on April 13, other artists such as Big Bang, 2NE1 and others will be making their comebacks as well.
Big Bang member Daesung also just recently held his first solo Japan concert and will continue to other cities in Japan as well for a total of 19 cities and 25 concerts.
G-Dragon has also begun the Japan portion of his solo world tour and will meet with a total of 550,000 fans from Korea and Japan.
This edition of ‘Who Wore It Better?’ brings a face-off between 2ne1′s lead singer,Park Bom, actress (and former member of girl group, Sugar) Hwang Jung Eum, actress Kim Gyuri, and actress Oh Yoon Ah.
Park Bom wore this dress to a Maybelline promotional event in Tokyo, Japan on June 22, 2012. She hemmed the dress about 6 inches, to make a super sexy mini dress, and paired it with black, strapped, open toed pumps. Hwang Jung Eum was seen in this dress for the press conference for her drama “든타임 (Golden Time)” held on July 2, 2012. Kim Gyuri modeled this dress for her spread in the April 2012 issue of In Style magazine. Oh Yoon Ah donned the dress for the Concert for New Hope held at Seoul Grand Hyatt Hotel on July 22, 2012. She paired the dress with tan strapped pumps. Like Park Bom she wore her hair to one side with bangs.

2NE1 and Wonder Girls have taken first and second place for “groups that can adapt well to the American market and become successful” respectively. Online Education Organization stated that from 27 July to 9 August, about 378 participants were surveyed. The results showed that 2NE1 received 184 votes (49%) , followed by Wonder Girls with 50 votes (13%).
In regards to this questionnaire, STAR News representative stated that the reason 2NE1 can get first place is as follows. When 2NE1 first released their debut album in May 2009, American producer Will.I.Am went to South Korea to visit YG and 2NE1, as well as YG’s main producer Teddy, to discuss about possible collaborations in the future. Furthermore, with 2NE1’s New Evolution concert to take place in New Jersey and LA, it can be seen that 2NE1 is doing very well in the American music industry.
2NE1 will be starting their World Tour in America on the 17 August in New Jersey.

There has been a new phenomenon where international fans seem to have this fanatical love for South Korea’s artistes. And what’s interesting is that every country seems to have their preferred K-pop artiste. Last month, Arirang TV interviewed a total of 699 students from 65 countries and these are the results of the survey.
In South Korea, 2NE1’s “I Am The Best” was voted 2nd for “Most Favourite Girl Group’s Dance”, where it has gotten 19.5% of the votes and it only gotten 19% of the votes from the other Asian regions. However, “I Am The Best” was voted 1st in Europe, where it has gotten 23% of their votes.
2NE1’s Park Bom topped the “Female Artiste with the Best Figure” section in America, with SNSD’s Yuri following behind. However in South Korea and Europe, 4 Minute’s Hyun-A ranked first while in Asia, SNSD’s Yuri and After School’s UEE were both ranked first.

Sexy diva, Lee Hyori, has been voted no.1 “Korea’s Beyonce” with an overwhelming support from the netizens.
Last August 17th, Monkey3 conducted a suvey regarding “Who is South Korea’s Beyonce?”. The survey has been conducted for 26days with a total of 700 participants, Lee Hyori received an overwhelming amount of support placing her to the 1st spot with 42% (291 people).
Lee Hyori is followed by other girl group members.
Sistar Hyorin (23%), 2NE1 Park Bom (18%), 4Minute HyunA (14%), and AfterSchool UEE (3%) took the 2nd to 5th spots respectively.
